Hey, did you just remove your last post (your fiction story?)

    Howcum..?

I liked it and I was going just going to leave a comment on it!

Oh, the fucking irony. Watch the comments pour in now. Read the most recent post!!

  3. Steph,

I saw that you had wrote a long story and I was going to come back to it later because I didn’t have time to read it. I wasn’t going to rush through it and say oh great oh wonderful. That is an extremely rude disservice to fiction writers.

Are you going to post it again? I would like to take the time to read it. Savor it, like you should with a story.

    Thanks, E

@ Ellen: Haha! Oh, man. Now I feel like a sulky poor sport! I’m torn between not posting it and just waiting till I have something recent and posting it to get constructive feedback, which I guess is why I did it in the first place. You’re right. People should take a fair amount of time to read it. Maybe I’ll do a separate page for short stories. Is that possible? To have more than one post on a different page? I don’t even know. But if it is, that way it’s not an actual blog post, and I can post a couple others from back then as well. A little collection of them may inspire me to keep going.

  5. Steph,

I don’t know how your site admin is organized on your blog, but you might be able to write a series of pages and keep them in a section of your blog under a new tab heading. Currently you have about, lusty weevil pub and a home tab.

If you do decide to post it again and you do want constructive feedback I promise to give you an honest critique.

    You have my word.

You might even want to post your critique guidelines if you want more feedback. I think people are comfortable with parameters.

Yeah, and I agree. You should never criticize someone’s content just because you don’t like the philosophy. Always stick to ways to help the story, not rip on the author.

Ellen: I’ll have a look around the admin tonight and I’ll post that story and maybe a couple others as well. Another freelancer I know just joined a writing group and she said the discussion sparked an idea for a story. Maybe I can do that here — have the criticism spark thought and even ideas for new stories. I’ve never joined the group here in Belleville; I just don’t get a good impression of it.

  7. Steph,

Great. I’ll check back. It probably will take a few days or so to critique your story.
